Spirulina Smoothie: Start here.
All hail the holy grail. Happy to share with you guys my ride or die. She's easy and consistent. Consistency is key in any relationship. This bev is going to keep your: skin glowing, brain alert, energy levels high, tummy full, and bathroom breaks easy.
Here's the breakdown:
This smoothie is high in potassium and magnesium from the banana. Has hydrating and anti-cancer properties from the cucumber, as they are 95.2 percent water and consistent of an anti-inflammatory substance called fisetin. Anddd for the main event: high in antioxidants and anti cancer properties, fresh water blue green algae, Spirulina has a high nutrition profile. It is made up of 60% in protein, antioxidants, B vitamins, iron and calcium to name a few. It is more digestible and has more nutrient bioavailability. It has loads of phycocyanin (a pigmented protein, high in antioxidants that gives spirulina its coloring). Making this smoothie one that packs a punch.
Here's to waking up on the right side of the bed...
- .5 c blueberries
- .5 c mangoes
- .5 of a cucumber
- 3 stalks kale
- 1 banana
- 2 T Spirulina
- 1 scoop protein powder
Combine all in a blender and top with hemp seeds and bee pollen :)
