Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Cassandra grew up constantly enamored with exploring and self evolvement. Fascinated by collaborative relationships and connections we have to each other and this planet she was constantly trying to make sense of it. Cognitive Function was born as a resource to help others understand my realizations, to help others find these connections and show transparency. To uncomplicated the complicated and bring clarity and optimization into our lives, it was her main focus to study myself and others from different walks of life. Amongst all of this bloomed a nutrition channel with the focus of getting us back to our roots, a "re-tox' if you will haha. It was her goal to show others how to grab a hold of your mental heath, mindfully eat and move your body all in the name of a happy lifestyle. Obsessions: Fuji Apples, Yerba Mate, bone broth, earth ships, organic underwear & waking up early as hell and taking a walk outside oh and tuberose flowers ;)

Cassandra & William have been working synergistically to spread mushroom research and education. They reside in Pennsylvania where they have carved out a small plot of land to play home for many different varieties of fungi, backyard bees, herbs, veggies and algae. They host classes quarterly on mushroom cultivation, as well as host a huge mushroom event every August called MYCOFEST. They believe in creating whole systems, building communities and creating equal opportunity careers. All mushrooms utilized in Cognitive Function products are grown by the U.S cultivator collective, Hive Mind Co-op a MycoSymbiotics x Cognitive Function initiative. William leads Cognitive Function and MycoSymbioics in mushroom cultivation and cutting edge research. William spends his time foraging for plants & mushroom then researching and experimenting with them in his lab. He is an autodidact and has trained himself in the science of mycology, phycology, and molecular biology. For the past half of this decade William has been spreading spore of wisdom the culture in Cordyceps cultivation and whole systems. His more recent focus has been on algae as a regenerative system and it's ability to nurture our minds and bodies. Obsessions: Paw paws, Cordyceps, Justin's Peanut Butter cups, foreign YouTube videos & sour beers.
